Fertility/Preconception Visit

A fertility or preconception visit can be booked by anyone looking to conceive but who may not need comprehensive fertility services at an OB-led fertility clinic yet. You and your partner may be thinking of trying to conceive over the next year, looking for IUI or IVI services or information on IVF and want the support or guidance of a midwife. A typical fertility or preconception visit with me covers:

• Comprehensive medical/family history

• Physical exam

• Lab work

• Nutritional review

• Lifestyle and alternative medicine recommendations to support and enhance fertility

• Counseling on how to track your menstrual cycle and identify when you are at peak fertility

Intrauterine Insemination (IUI)

If pursuing IUI, on ovulation day I will be on-call for your procedure. Together, we track fertile signs and can plan to do 1 or 2 inseminations within one fertile window. We will do the IUI together in your home on either your couch or bed. If you have a partner, the insemination may be done by them with the midwife’s support.
